The Paliskates Fire Relief Skate Jam that took place at Stoner Skate Plaza on Saturday, June 7, 2025 was a HUGE success! With dozens of sponsoring organizations, professional and amateur skateboarders, vendors, and good vibes it was an event to remember!

There were age divisions, games of skate, best trick skate jams, autograph signings from special pros and prizes ranging from cash to a week of Skate Camp. Every skater went home loaded up with goods from the wonderful sponsors.

This was a call to support your local skate shop event. Giving the skaters and kids an opportunity to connect with each other, their shop and the greater skate community. Top professional skaters and leading brands stepped up in solidarity with Paliskates—the nation's longest-running female-owned skate shop—to help ensure its future.

Event organizers include powerful female movers & shakers in the skating industry Heidi Lemmon of SPAI - Skate Park Association International); Cindy Whitehead, Sports stylist & Founder of Girl is NOT a 4 Letter Word; and, Erica Simpson, founder of Paliskates.

Many sponsors, brands and organizations stepped up to throw support including:

Adidas, Etnies, The Skatepark Project, Exposure Skate, Vans New Balance, Polar Skate Co., S1 Helmets, Antway Magazine, Dogtown Skateboards, LA Strong Foundation, SunBum, Primitive Skateboards, Disorder, Hosoi Skateboards, Bones, Powell Peralta, Riot Energy Tea, Venice Brand, OG213, Mini-Logo, Downhill Dogs, Legendary Foods, ST Tattoo, D’Pizza Spot, Hoodwood, Grind King and more!

Huge thanks to Bart Saric on for announcing, Bennett Harada spinning tunes, Steve Badillo for judging and all the skaters and vendors that came out and made the day so special!

Stay tuned for coverage in Coping Block Magazine’s 100th edition with photos by Chris Hooten!!!

I'm so proud of our Southern California Girl is NOT a 4 Letter Word team riders for volunteering their time to shoot this PSA for Paliskates that ran during The Grammy's last night. Avril Lavigne showing up at the skatepark to also support blew their minds!

Our youngest team rider, Brooke Benton is also sponsored by Paliskates so the loss hit her hard.

Paliskates is the longest-running female skate shop (25 years) owned by Erica, and it burned to the ground during the Palisades fires.

You can support the rebuild by buying the Paliskates merch you see in this video via Paliskates.net
